Passionate about photography since my adolescence, I have become familiar with this art over the years, without ever having attended art school or anything else. I have a passion for black and white which offers me this incredible possibility of playing only with shadows and lights. My inspiration comes from the moment, my eye always seeks to see the photo that I could take, with the eye instinctively in black and white.

My lifelong love for water and nature pushes me to try to enhance them, in my own way, in particular thanks to the long exposure process which shows me every day how beautiful our nature is.

My story

My name is Laurent Osswald, I live in Gers in the south west of France. I grew up in Normandy and then in the Paris region, but always spent a lot of time in Normandy, in Cotentin more precisely, with my grandmother. It was there that I learned to know and love the nature that surrounded me. My love for this nature has never ceased. Admiring a sunset by the sea, a sunrise by a lake, strolling in a field, admiring the swirls of a river, enjoying the enchantment of a forest, these are the simple things of the life I learned to love. These same things that I try to sublimate through my photos, to express the way I perceive them with my emotion of the moment.
